South West administration expels ckan militia from Dinsoor amid communal conflicts

    Baidoa(HOL) — The South West administration has successfully expelled a clan militia from the town of Dinsoor.

    Officials led by the South West's Minister of Security travelled to the Bay region's Dinsoor district to address the recent communal conflict there. They inspected areas where two tribal militias had clashed and managed to separate the opposing groups.

    Hassan Abduqadir Mohamed, the South West Minister of Security, emphasized the harmful impact of war on communities and highlighted the necessity for peaceful coexistence.

    He called on local intellectuals to bolster peace efforts and prevent future conflicts in Dinsoor and surrounding areas.

    Several districts under South West administration control, including Barawe, Qoryooley, Wanlaweyn, Dinsoor, and Burhakaba, have recently experienced communal violence. Initiatives are underway to resolve these conflicts, which have caused significant losses of life and property.
