Dar Al Ber Society, DABS, dedicated to philanthropic work both locally and abroad, has run a variety of important charitable and humanitarian projects in Somalia to ease the suffering of the people there.

A delegation from the society, including Abdulkareem Jaafar Al Hassan, Manager of Projects Department - DABS, Naji Dahab, Manager of Administrative Affairs - DABS, and Hassan Saleh Al Ali, HR Manager, paid a visit to the projects there.

Al Hassan said that Dar Al Ber has accomplished so many projects in Somali, spanning the building of mosques, digging water wells, sponsoring orphans, students, and Quran teachers. "We have also supported productive and low-income families in collaboration with a number of accredited charity entities."

Dar Al Ber spares no effort to take part in relief work in coordination with concerned bodies in sisterly countries as directed by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in association with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, he added.

"Dar Al Ber is dedicated to relieving our brothers in Somalia and all the Horn of Africa countries, where people are suffering from a serious shortage of food, clothes, and shelter."

The delegation discussed the prospects and potentials of some key projects there. "We have also followed up the projects being carried out, and urged the contractors and consultants concerned to finish the jobs as fast and accurately as possible," Al Hassan said.
