Deputy Minister for foreign affairs and investment Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad has on Saturday received the credential letters from the new Slovakian ambassador to Somalia Dr. Michal Mlynar during a meeting at the ministry of foreign affairs.
During the meeting, Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad noted that his government was happy with the creation of the bilateral ties between Somalia and Slovakia
For his part the new Slovakian ambassador Dr. Michal Mlynar delivered greetings and message of goodwill from Slovakia’s foreign minister Miroslav Lajcak to Somalia and announced that his government was ready for the creation of strong political and friendly relations with Somalia.
After the end of the transition in Somalia nearly two years ago, about 50 countries have sent their ambassadors to Somalia, although most ambassadors are living in the heavily-guarded Halane neighbourhood southwest of the capital.
