On reports of repeated attacks in Mandera, reportedly killing 36 people, German Ambassador to Kenya, Andreas Peschke, made the following statement:
“Germany strongly condemns the criminal and murderous attacks in Mandera. We express our deep condolences to the families and friends of this terrorist attack.
The brutality of the criminal and terrorist perpetrators of these acts seems to have no bounds. All parties in Kenya should stand together in solidarity and decisive action against terrorism.
Germany will continue to stand by Kenya and the other countries of the region in their fight against terrorism in East Africa.”
