Somali Prime Minister H.E Abdiweli Mohamed Ali will be speaking in Brussels to the Committee of Ambassadors of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP Group) on February 20th.
The purpose of the visit is to reaffirm Somali relations with the ACP Group and the European Union, and also to rally support in calling for deeper attention to Somalia’s on-going humanitarian, security and nation-building efforts.
Somalia is a signatory to the ACP-EU Lomé Conventions and the 1975 Georgetown Agreement which founded the 79 member ACP Group of States.
After meeting the Ambassadors, the Prime Minister will hold a joint press conference at the ACP House alongside the Chair of the ACP Committee of Ambassadors, H.E Shirley Skerritt-Andrew, also the Ambassador of the Eastern Caribbean States in Brussels.
