Mogadishu (HOL) – Somali Police have arrested seven youths
in Mogadishu for engaging in dangerous acts with knives in public stadiums and
posting the incidents on social media.
The arrests were made by officers at Warta-Nabadda District
Police Station after videos sparked public concern and calls for police action.
“Knives and similar objects are prohibited in stadiums and
other public places. Anyone found endangering their own lives or those of
others will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law,” the police said
in a statement.
Authorities warned young people against bringing harmful
objects into stadiums or other public places, stressing that violations would
face firm legal consequences.
