Mogadishu (HOL) – Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met
on Monday with German Ambassador to Somalia Sebastian Groth in Mogadishu to
discuss strengthening bilateral ties and boosting investment opportunities.
Prime Minister Hamza highlighted Somalia’s vast investment
potential in fisheries, industry, and livestock, stressing the importance of
German engagement in these sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Ambassador Groth said Germany is planning to invest in
Somalia across various areas, noting that senior officials from the German
Ministry of Development and Economic Affairs will soon visit the country.
Germany is among the European Union member states supporting
Somalia in development and stabilization efforts.
