Barawe (HOL) — Somali National Army (SNA) Commander, General
Odowa Yusuf Rageh, on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed headquarters of
the 6th Battalion under the 60th Division of the SNA Ground Forces in Barawe,
Lower Shabelle region.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Rageh said the completion
of the new facility is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen
the army’s capacity and leadership structure, aimed at enhancing coordination
and improving security operations across Lower Shabelle and the wider southern
regions.
“The 6th Battalion under the 60th Division is part of the
ongoing joint military operations with local communities against al-Shabaab,”
General Rageh said. “The government is committed to providing all possible
support to boost the morale and operational capacity of our national army.”
The Somali National Army continues to reinforce security,
rebuild command centers, and consolidate gains made in the fight against
terrorism to ensure lasting peace and stability throughout the country.
