Mogadishu (HOL) — A landmine explosion killed at least three Somali government soldiers in Mogadishu’s Deyniile district on Tuesday night, according to military sources.
The blast targeted a vehicle carrying soldiers from the 77th military battalion based at the Urur Howled camp in the Deyniile district.
The Deyniile district administration and local security agencies have yet to release statements regarding the attack.
While Mogadishu has seen a decline in similar incidents in recent months, Al-Shabaab continues to use roadside bombs against government forces and officials across various regions in Somalia.
