Minister Farah Sheikh Abduqadir
stated that Ethiopia has long coveted parts of Somalia's land and waters.

"Six hundred years ago, Ethiopia sought to claim parts of Somali land and waters, but it was not possible then, and it will not be possible now, even with the lifting of the arms embargo and our fight against terrorism. Somalia has faced significant challenges but has rebounded," said Somalia's Minister of Education, Farah Sheikh Abdukadir.

He emphasized that Somalia has only one legitimate government, the Federal Government of Somalia, and that tribal and regional administrations do not represent the true address of the country.

"There are those who have strayed and are misguidedly seeking things, like our brothers who claim separation in Somaliland. I tell them that their quest for recognition is futile; Somalia has one government. You are searching in vain," said Farah Sheikh Abdukadir.

The statement was made by the Minister of Education of Somalia during a private event in London where the committee for the defence of Somalia's maritime security and territorial integrity convened with the Somali community. The discussion focused on how the UK-based Somali community could play a significant role in defending Somalia's territorial claims.
