Mogadishu (HOL) — A clan conflict in the Galgaduud region has resulted in multiple casualties on Saturday.
At least five people were killed and many were injured in the clash, which took place in Eel Barafange, near Dhusamareeb, the capital of the Galmudug administration, according to local media sources.
The fight involved two tribal militias from eastern Galgaduud. Some of the injured were transported to Guriceel and Dhusamareeb for treatment.
The conflict is part of a recurring pattern of clan wars in the Galgaduud and Mudug regions, which often result in significant loss of life and property.
The Galmudug administration has not yet issued a statement regarding today's conflict in Eel Barafange.
