Turkey (HOL) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
received letters of credentials on Thursday from Somalia's newly appointed
ambassador, Fathudin A. Mohamed, at the presidential complex in Ankara.
Ambassador Mohamed presented his letter of credence to President Erdoğan.
"Honoured to present my credentials to President Recep
Tayyip Erdoğan. On this occasion, I expressed my deep appreciation to President
Erdoğan for his steadfast support to Somalia,” the ambassador said.
The Somali government appointed Mohamed as its ambassador to
Turkey last April, marking a significant step in enhancing diplomatic relations
between the two countries.
The appointment of Ambassador Mohamed was part of a broader
diplomatic initiative by Somalia, with ten new ambassadors taking posts
globally this year.
