Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre met with the President of the Republic of Iraq, Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, in Manama, Bahrain, on Wednesday to discuss strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
Prime Minister Barre and President Dr. Abdul Latif also discussed enhancing cooperation in the field of security and mutual interests between the two peoples, as well as exchanging experiences in the field of security.
The meeting also focused on the interests of the two countries that are beneficial to both peoples, especially in the fields of economy, culture, education, and health, according to the Somali government.
The Somali Prime Minister underlined the long-standing relationship between Somalia and Iraq based on the common interests of the two countries while the two governments are fighting to eliminate terrorist groups in their countries.
