EgyptAir is expected to begin direct flights from Cairo to Mogadishu on July 11, enhancing connectivity and economic ties between Egypt and Somalia.

The airline will operate twice-weekly flights to Somalia's capital, reflecting Egypt's broader strategy to improve African air connectivity.

Somalia has historically cooperative solid relations with Egypt and considers it a strategic partner.
