    Garowe (HOL) - Puntland and Galmudug authorities have announced plans on Monday to use military force to stop the ongoing clan conflict in the eastern region of Mudug. The decision comes after a recent clash between two clan militias in the Labi Maygaag area, which resulted in the deaths of about ten people and left 15 others injured.

    The conflict, rooted in local disputes and long-standing clan feuds, involves militias from both Puntland and Galmudug. Efforts to resolve the conflict have been underway, but the violence has already claimed many lives on both sides.

    Governors from the Mudug region of both administrations have emphasized the necessity of military intervention to halt the fighting. They have called for the immediate deployment of joint forces to the conflict zone to prevent further escalation.

    Despite the fighting subsiding after several hours, there are growing concerns that it may reignite as both clan militias continue their military mobilization. The potential for renewed violence underscores the urgency of the authorities' call for military action to stabilize the region.
