Mogadishu (HOL) — The Ministry of Education, Heritage, and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) announced that the 12th-grade national examinations for the 2023-2024 academic year will commence on June 22, 2024. An estimated 37,200 students across the nation are expected to participate.
The Ministry has introduced stricter regulations this year to ensure the integrity of the exams. In a statement, Minister of State for Education, Heritage, and Higher Education Noura Mustaf Mukhtar said the government plans to hold exams in regions recently liberated from Khawajirta, demonstrating a commitment to expanding educational opportunities.
The Ministry is responsible for preparing and securely distributing exam materials to various locations, including the Banadir region and federal member states.
