Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed Moalim Fiqi met with his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in Beijing to discuss enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.
Somali state-owned media reported on Saturday that the Minister also focused on political, security, humanitarian, and economic matters in Somalia and the region.
Minister Fiqi was among dozens of high-level representatives attending Thursday's tenth Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum in Beijing, China.
Speaking at the forum, the Minister urged foreign companies and financial institutions to explore the promising opportunities in Somali markets, pledging to provide necessary facilities and remove obstacles to promote progress and prosperity.
