In their statement, the command, which aligns with the opposition, accused security forces of using violence against civilians who protested the election outcome in Garowe. These allegations include serious charges of killings, injuries, and the arrest of dissenters, signalling a potential escalation in post-election unrest. The statement mourned those killed in opposition to the "illegitimate election" results and reiterated their commitment to Puntland's security.

The Danab group's statement further warns of "dire consequences" arising from what they label as a 'fraudulent presidential election.' The remarks reflect deepening divisions within Puntland's political landscape and hint at a growing unease over the region's stability.

On the other side, President Deni and his party's supporters have embraced the election results. They have expressed readiness to collaborate with the reelected president, emphasizing the need for unity and progress in Puntland.

The international community, particularly stakeholders in East African politics, are closely monitoring the unfolding events. The outcomes of this election hold significance for Puntland and carry implications for the broader stability and democratic progress in Somalia.
