Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali police forces have apprehended a female trader and her brother for stabbing another businessman to death inside the six-story market in Mogadishu's Hodan district on Tuesday.
The victim, identified as Mohamed Ahmed Abdirahman, known as Biriq, was attacked following a dispute between him and the two people who own a business center adjacent to his. However, what sparked the dispute remains unclear.
An eyewitness reported, "The woman and her brother, who were walking together, initiated a fight with the businessman. They fatally stabbed him multiple times with a knife."
This horrific murder incident coincides with several ongoing court cases related to killings in Mogadishu over the past weeks. One of these cases involves Sayid Ali Moalin Daoud, accused of fatally burning his wife, Luul Abdiaziz, in Mogadishu last month.
