Hargeisa (HOL) — Somaliland administration warned on Sunday against individuals and groups allegedly undermining peace, engaging in abuses, and organizing clan-based meetings across the self-declared Republic of Somaliland.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the administration pledged legal action against anyone promoting divisive activities or threatening public security.
"The media must refrain from broadcasting hateful statements that harm the unity of society and the national identity of the Republic of Somaliland," the statement emphasized.
The Hargeisa government reiterated a ban on clan-based gatherings in hotels and public spaces. Hotels have been instructed to avoid hosting such meetings, which the administration views as threatening Somaliland’s stability and unity.
