Over 60,000 Palestinian worshippers performed on Wednesday the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem despite Israeli restrictions, reported the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Palestinians had flocked to the Old City in Israeli-occupied Jerusalem since the early morning hours to perform the Eid prayer.
The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said a number of people, who were forcibly removed from Al-Aqsa by Israeli authorities, performed the prayer in the streets surrounding the mosque.
