Mogadishu (HOL) - Qatar strongly condemned Saturday's deadly al-Shabab suicide attack in Beledweyne, which killed at least 36 people and wounded over 40 others

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Qatar expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Somalia, while extending wishes for a swift recovery to the injured.

The Ministry affirmed Qatar's support for Somalia's counter-terrorism efforts to achieve stability. The Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons.
