Dhusamareb (HOL) - A mother and her two children were killed, and two other family members were wounded in a landmine explosion at their home in central Somalia.
The incident took place on the outskirts of El-lahelay village in the Galgadud region on Thursday. State-owned media reported that Al-Shabab militants had hidden the landmine in the home of the affected family.
Security forces promptly transported the bodies and injured people to a nearby health facility.
This incident comes a day after government forces recaptured several villages, including El-lahelay village in the Galgadud region. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
