Dhusamareb (HOL) - Security forces intercepted a vehicle transporting military supplies, fuel, and food destined for al-Shabab militants during a planned operation in Dawacoley village, situated between Hindhere and Gadon towns in the Galgaduud region on Friday.
Somali National Television reported that upon learning of the vehicle's seizure, members of the militant group attempted to attack the security forces. However, the security forces successfully repelled the attack, resulting in the deaths of three militants.
Since President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud assumed power in May 2022, the government has steadfastly waged a robust campaign against the al-Shabab militants.
