Las Anod (HOL) - The traditional clan chief of the Dhulbahante and leader of the 33-member SSC traditional council, Garad Jama Garad Ali, has accused the Somaliland administration of organizing conflict in Oog areas in an attempt to launch attacks on SSC-Khatumo areas.
The chief stated on Monday that they would allow the SSC forces to enter Somaliland areas if the Hargeisa government continued provocation against Sool, Sanaag, and Ceyn, collectively known as SSC-Khatumo.
"If Somaliland claims our land again or says we will reach our border, we will go to their homes [Hargeysa], and we will capture those who caused trouble in our land," said Garad Jama. He emphasized that the SSC-Khatumo is still struggling to liberate the Sool region.
The traditional elder's statement comes as tensions persist in the Buqdharkayn area, where the Somaliland army and SSC-Khatumo recently clashed. The SSC-Khaatumo administration recently displayed at least ten prisoners from the Somaliland forces during the battles in the Buqdharkayn area.
