Hargeisa (HOL) - The self-declared republic of Somaliland has executed five men for murder in Hargeisa on Wednesday.
The execution occurred in the Mandhera prison, known for firing squads.
President, Muse Bihi Abdi, recently approved the executions of these men, whose names have not yet been released by the government.
The government of Somaliland typically carries out executions discreetly. As of now, the authorities have not made any statements regarding this morning's executions.
