Al-Shabaab, a Somalia-based rebel group, has been waging a bloody rebellion against the fragile government in Mogadishu for over 15 years.

Their attacks have not only targeted innocent civilians but also security forces in Kenya, particularly in the border regions with Somalia.

The frequency of these attacks is alarming. These attacks have targeted police officers, army personnel, and even peacekeepers deployed in Somalia and Kenya

Kenyan security forces have also taken measures to combat Al-Shabaab, successfully neutralizing a number of fighters in various operations

In the past few weeks, several officers have been Killed by al-Shabaab's improvised explosives while several others were injured.

MP Caleb Amisi has now called out Aden Ndwale, Noordin Haji, and Bwana Gabow, urging them to take action and address the increasing loss of officers' lives.

He emphasized the need to protect citizens and questioned the deployment of Kenyan soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The continued attacks by Al-Shabaab pose a significant threat to Kenya's security and stability.

Kenya has a history of facing significant challenges posed by Al-Shabaab. It is imperative that the government, security forces, and relevant agencies work together to dismantle the network and prevent further loss of innocent lives.

"The avalanche of Al-Shabaab attacks on innocent citizens, innocent policemen, and very young, recently trained army officers must be stopped. Our security officers can not be flexing muscles on unarmed Azimio demonstrators while being slaughtered like chicken by the radical group," the Saboti MP said in part.
