Barawe (HOL) - A fierce battle is currently underway in
Barawe, 200 km south of Mogadishu and the administrative capital of the South West regional state, between
the federal government military forces and the Darwish troops of the South West
state.
According to residents, heavy artillery fire and gunfire
have been ongoing for over 30 minutes.
The motive behind the clash and the number of casualties
remain unclear.
