Kismayo (HOL) - The head of Somalia's National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) for Dolow district in the Gedo region, Ibrahim Hilowle, was tragically killed by his newly wedded wife on Tuesday.
The commissioner of Dolow district, Barre Mohamed, has confirmed that the wife used her husband's pistol to shoot him in the head lethally. The wife, who has confessed to the killing, is currently in the custody of the security forces.
According to the commissioner, the security forces had previously harboured strong suspicions regarding her possible connections to the al-Shabab group. Investigations are currently underway to delve into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the killing.
