Dhusamareb (HOL) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, along with the President of the Galmudug state, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor, convened a meeting with members of the Somali National Women's Organization in Dhusamareb on Wednesday night.
The meeting saw the participation of various other officials, including the Deputy Minister of Information, Abdirahman Adala; the Minister of State for the Health of the federal government; the Minister of Women of Galmudug; and the Chairman of the National Awareness Committee.
This assembly followed the arrival of officials from the Somali National Women's Organization in Dhusamareb, who came to support and encourage the armed forces engaged in combat against the al-Shabaab group.
President Mohamud commended the Somali women for their pivotal role in bolstering and inspiring the national forces, as well as for heightening public awareness in the struggle against the al-Shabaab group. He urged them to intensify their involvement in the endeavour to emancipate the nation.
Somali National Women's Organization members shared their perspectives on the campaign to eradicate Al-Shabaab with President Hassan Sheikh. They assured the leaders of their unwavering support for the Somali army actively participating in the fight to liberate the country.
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been leading the war campaign in Galmudug state in central Somalia for the last two weeks. In the previous two days, the Somali army liberated several areas, including Wabho, a strategic district in the Galgadud region.
