Iranian & Somali national arrested at BIA over fake passports

    COLOMBO (News 1st); An Iranian and a Somali national who attempted to leave the country using fake passports have been arrested by immigration officials.

    The immigration officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport have arrested the two nationals, in their attempt to leave the country to go to France and South Africa.

    The immigration officials had inspected their passports over suspicion of being fake, and have subsequently arrested the two suspects.

    The suspects were handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
