Mogadishu (HOL) - Police in Mogadishu apprehended a suspect accused of abusing young girls and posting their videos on social media, particularly on TikTok, which outraged the community.
Hussein Hassan Gaabow was arrested in Mogadishu's Karan district at around 1:50 a.m. Sunday night, according to Deputy Commissioner of the Somali Police Force, Gen. Zakia Hussein.
The suspect was accused of giving drugs to the young girls before filming their abuse and posting the videos on the popular social networking platform TikTok.
Gen. Zakia Hussein added that the Somali Police Force is committed to responding to community complaints and providing security.
Many people on social media have welcomed the arrest of Hussein and commended the police forces for the swift arrest.
