Mogadishu (HOL) - Gunmen have shot dead four people at the Hawa-Tako intersection in Mogadishu's Wadajir district on Wednesday, according to witnesses.
The assailants, armed with pistols, killed the four outside a restaurant as they were sitting.
Two of the four people killed were civilians, while the other two were said to be unarmed Somali government soldiers.
The attackers fled the scene.
Hassan Daar and Ali Dahab have been identified as two of the people killed.
It is also reported that a soldier near the scene opened fire, killing a vegetable vendor from the main market in Medina. The man has only been identified as Jerri.
Security forces arrived on the scene and removed the bodies of the deceased.
There have been no arrests were made in connection with the quadruple homicide.
Federal government police arrived at the scene as usual and removed the bodies of the four people killed in the Wadajir district in the Benadir region.
Although there was no immediate claim on the responsibility for the attack, Al-Shabaab frequently targets government soldiers for assassinations.
