Mogadishu (HOL) - The leader of the Wadajir party, Abdirahman Abdishakur, has accused the National Consultative Council of conspiring to loot the Lower House elections.

Abdishakur said the current election process was unacceptable, citing the wave of complaints from various clans that Villa Somalia was looting their seats.

"It was predetermined that the seats would be looted.”

Abdirahman Abdishakur believes that the NCC is rigging the process to support President Farmajo’s bid for re-election.

The leader of the Wadajir party and presidential hopeful also said that if the Dispute Resolution Committee had shown their bias when they validated the results of acting intelligence chief Yassin Farey, who won a controversial vote last month despite prominent clan elders being blocked from participating as delegates.

Finally, he said the council of candidates would decide on their next steps during a forthcoming conference in Mogadishu.
