BELEDWEYN (HOL) - At least three siblings were killed and others injured in Beletweyne during fighting between Al-Shabaab and Djibouti forces serving under AMISOM.
Sources at the town said that Al-Shabaab fighters fired mortar shells at the Djibouti forces military base in Howl-wadaag area sparking a fight between the two sides.
Mortar shells landed in the family of the three siblings killing them and injuring others, sources added.
The situation has however been restored.
There was no immediate comment from authorities in the town but the militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
