Garowe (HOL) - Puntland has donated military equipment and vehicles to the Galmudug administration, who have been battling Al-Shabaab militants in the southern Mudug region for the past several weeks.
Puntland also handed over water tankers and ambulances to the Galmudug administration. The handing over ceremony took place at the presidential palace in Galkayo.
Puntland officials said the move is part of the neighbourliness, co-operation and collaboration between the two administrations so that their people can live in peace.
Galmudug security minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi thanked Puntland for its support in liberating Galmudug from Alshabab.
Galmudug's Information Minister, Ahmed Shire Falagle, on Friday, denied that Al-Shabaab militants overran government security forces and retook two strategic towns.
