KISMAYO (HOL) - Two COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Jubbaland bringing the nationally tally to 62, the state COVID19 Response Committee has said.
The Committee chairperson Mohamed Warsame Darwish told journalists the state has detected the first two cases and that the two patients have been isolated in Kismayo hospital.

The two cases come barely a day after the Federal Government announced 35 new cases bringing to 60 the number of cases in Somalia.The discovery of the positive cases in Kismayu adds to six the number of locations the disease has spread in Somalia.
Previous cases have been located in Mogadishu, Berbera, Burco, Borama and Hargeisa.
Two people have since succumbed to the disease and two others have recovered.
