Mogadishu (HOL) - Somalia's allies have been quick to vocalize their condemnation of Al-Shabaab terror attacks that have left the city paralyzed this past week.

The foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia and Turkey denounced in the strongest terms the latest string of bombings.

In a statement, Saudi Arabia reiterated its support and solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia against all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The Kingdom offers condolences and consolation to the victims' families and the fraternal Somali government and people, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement, "We have received the news with deep sorrow that the terrorist attack perpetrated in Mogadishu, resulted in the loss of many lives and left several others wounded".

The statement went on to say, "We strongly condemn this heinous attack, wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to the wounded and extend our condolences to the brotherly people and Government of Somalia".

Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab militants have launched seven deadly attacks on the capital in as many days as security officials scramble to quell the unrest.

The government announced a major shake-up of the country's security apparatus.
