NAIROBI (HOL) - A roadside bomb blast hit a convoy of Kenyan military on Wednesday, leaving several soldiers injured, officials say.
The bombing took place in the Kenyan island of Lamu while a military convoy was travelling on a road, according to police officials.
There were no immediate details on the exact causalities on the soldiers who were on the convoy struck by the bomb which has reportedly suffered a significant damage.
No groups has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Somalia-based al-Shabab group, who has recently extended its deadly insurgency into Kenya, is suspected to have carried out the blast.
