Edmontonians of all backgrounds and faiths rallied against hate Friday after anti-Islamic flyers were distributed in the city for the fifth time in just over a month.
They signed their names to a banner with messages of love and support in solidarity with Edmonton's Muslim community.
Community leaders in the Indigenous, Jewish, Somali-Canadian and Muslim communities, as well as police and politicians, denounced discrimination.
Coun. Dave Loken said the issue will be addressed in an upcoming motion from city council.
