Gunmen killed two recent university graduates in Mogadishu's Dharkenley district Sunday morning (November 2nd), Somalia's RBC Radio reported.
The two women were killed in a drive-by shooting and the gunmen immediately escaped from the scene.
Dharkenley District Commissioner Adan Mohamed Omar accused al-Shabaab of being behind the attack and said they are pursuing those responsible, Radio Mogadishu reported.
Fadumo Mohamud Omar and Fathi Mohamud Mohamed recently graduated from Simad University.
"It is heart wrenching to learn the senseless killing of these university graduate students in Mogadishu," Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed said via Twitter. "My condolence goes out to their family. Perpetrators will be brought to justice as we did before."
