German Ambassador to Somalia Andreas Peschke strongly condemned the murder of the Somali Member of Parliament Mohamed Mohamud Hayd and released the following statement:
“The German Government condemns in the strongest terms the assassination of Somali Member of Parliament Mohamed Mohamud Hayd. We feel deep sympathy with his family and would like to convey our deepest condolences.
We stand firmly at the side of Somalia to overcome this violence by terrorists and will continue to support Somalia to build a peaceful and prosperous state. We strongly hope that the perpetrators of the murder will be brought to justice.”
