New Somali cabinet expected tonight

Reliable sources close to the presidential palace in Mogadishu confirm to HOL that the new Somali cabinet members are expected to be unveiled tonight, 16th of January 2014.

An officer at the presidential palace who was reached for comment by HOL said that the final preparations are under way and the new cabinet are expected to be disclosed tonight.

The officer spoke to HOL on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to give such details.

The new cabinet announcement was postponed several times before due to some unspecified reasons. Last week the Somali parliament gave an ultimatum of ten days to the prime minister to complete the formation of his cabinet.
