MANCHESTER CITY midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim wants a move to another Premier League club after helping Stromsgodset land the title in Norway.

City have said Ibrahim - who was dubbed the next Patrick Vieira - can leave on a free transfer, with his prospects at the Etihad Stadium limited due to the strength in depth of Manuel Pellegrini's squad.

Loan "I would like to join a Premier League club in January and prove myself in the best league in the world," said Ibrahim, 22, who was born in Somalia but moved to Norway aged seven.

"I've got four more games left on my loan spell here with Stromsgodset and we are top of the league.

"So at the moment I'm focusing on finishing the games that I've got left and winning the title."

Crystal Palace and Swansea are among the clubs that have been keeping tabs on Ibrahim. He is also open to a move to Spain, Italy, Germany or France.

"Paul Pogba is a prime example to me.

"He left Manchester United and is now making a name for himself at Juventus," he added.

"I hope I get the chance where a club will give me a similar opportunity."

Ibrahim is in the final season of his City contract.

But despite joining them aged 15, and playing in the FA Youth Cup-winning side in 2008, he has made just one substitute appearance in the Premier League.
