Four suspected members of Alshabaab who were charged early last month with taking part in the September 21 Westgate Mall attack have been denied bond by the Chief Magistrate Kiarie Waweru Kiarie.
Mohamed Ahmed Abdi, Omar Liban Abdulle, Hussein Hassan Mustafah and Adan Mohamed Ibrahim alias Adan Abdikadir Adan and Adan Dheq had pleaded to be released on bond saying there was no solid case against them and their case had taken long to be heard.
The State Counsel James Mungai Warui had told the court that their respective defense lawyers did not submit the required documents to the court in time to facilitate the hearing.
The prosecution told the court that the lawyers requested for more time until Friday this week to submit the documents for filing them on Tuesday next week.
The case will be heard November 28.
