Jubiliee
members have asked President Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto to
withdraw Kenya Defence Forces troops from Somalia.
The leaders have asked Uhuru and Ruto to remove all United Nations Security forces out of Kenya.
The move seems to be a retaliatory attack on the UN Security Council for failure to assent to the ICC cases deferral.
Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki
and TNA chairman Johnson Sakaja were speaking at Rusigiti playground in
Kikuyu subcounty, Kiambu during the homecoming party for Kikuyu MP
Kimani Ichung’wa on Sunday.
Kindiki said the directive will be implemented in six weeks.
“We took the cases to the UN Security
Council, because Kenya is concerned with security in Congo and Somalia
among others. But they have said it does not matter,” he said.
Kindiki said Uhuru and Ruto should pull back KDF and let the UN solve the security situation in Somalia.
Kindiki said Kenyan forces have no place to train from because most land has been given to foreign countries’ forces.
“We want those in Nanyuki and Laikipia to be removed and the land taken over by local police for training,” he said.
Sakaja said all refugee camps should
be closed in six months. “The fight against terrorists belongs to them
and because we don’t have problems with our neighbouring countries, we
want our troops back tomorrow,” he said.
“Refugees camps like Dadaab have
become a security threat where criminal groups like al Shabaab pretend
to be refugees.” Sakaja said the refugee camps should be closed in a
year.
He asked ICC chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to handover Mungiki members testifying against Uhuru.
