The UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) has
started sending dates donation of the holy Month of Ramadan 1434 H,
provided by the Authority in the name the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan
Al Nahyan in order to be distributed to the needy and poor people during
the month.The donation will be distributed in 28 countries in
Asia, Africa and Australia, within the RCA’s humanitarian programmes
and the follow up of the relief and charitable projects, carried out by
the body in the light of the Ramadan Seasonal Campaign for the current
year.
The Deputy Secretary General of RCA for Relief and Project Naeema Al
Muhairi said that the Authority, in cooperation with donors,
philanthropists and its partners from the local institutions, which
support the efforts of the RCA and are keen to upgrade the provided
services in order to create better living conditions for the poor
segments.
Through the dates donation and a number of RCA’ s relief aid drives,
RCA is working to reach to the poor families in Morocco, Tanzania,
Maldives, Jordan, Bangladesh, Somalia, Senegal, Algeria, Pakistan,
Thailand, Cambodia, Turkey, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan,
Sudan, Indonesia, Yemen, South Africa, Syria, Mauritania and Comoros,
Niger, China, Kenya and Australia.
