LSK Representative to JSC Ahmednasir Abdullahi opts not to defend his position

LSK Representative to Judicial Service Commission Ahmednasir Abdullahi will not defend his position which expires end of this year.

According to the Law Society of Kenya chairman Eric Mutua, LSK is represented by two elected members, Ahmednasir Abdullahi and Florence Mwangangi, whose terms expire in three and five years respectively.

Mutua added that Ahmednasir volunteered to be elected to the term that ends in three years.

This was in response to earlier reports that LSK was plotting to remove Ahmednasir as their representative to JSC.

“Mr Ahmednasir, who though eligible to run for a further three year term, has opted not to contest the position”, said Mutua.
