The invasion of KDF soldiers into Somalia has significantly helped in reducing the amount of counterfeited goods into the country significantly.

Kenya Association of Manufacturers Operations manager Mercy Ocholla says Somalia was one of the most notorious entry roots of counterfeit goods into Kenya.

It is estimated that KRA loses 6 billion shillings annually to counterfeits.
