Somali expatriates living in the United Kingdom sent $10,000 in aid to disabled people living in Beledweyne, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported Thursday (November 1st).
More than 600 people received the assistance, said Noor Omar Ali, area branch manager for Mustaqbal Express, the remittance company that distributed the funds.
Ali said that more disabled and needy people came out to receive the money than anticipated.
